Teen Writers' Workshops

Teens ages 14-19 will learn skills that will dramatically improve their writing. The workshop will include:

  • Lessons on plot, character, setting and pacing.

  • Tips for revisions and editing how-to's.

  • Professional feedback on their work.

  • How to give and receive constructive critique on their work.

  • Opportunities to meet industry professionals, including three authors.

To give students the best possible experience, we are keeping class size small.

Students will:
  • Enhance their writing skills
  • Learn about the writing industry
  • Make their stories shine!

Where & When:

You have three locations to choose from: Winnipeg West, Winnipeg East, and Steinbach

Winnipeg West:

Taught by Melanie Matheson, award-winning author and professional book designer.
